Radiofrequency Ablation

Radiofrequency Ablation

Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive procedure with a quick recovery time. During this treatment, a catheter is inserted into the affected vein. An electric current will run through the catheter, using thermal heat to damage the vein, and generate scar tissue formation. The affected vein will then be absorbed by surrounding blood and disappear.
